The Village

Tragaki lies in the north-east of the island, 14 kilometers from the airport and just seven kilometers from Zakynthos City. This endearing little village is located on the slope of the Kavalláris mountain in the middle of olive groves and fruit trees.

Right where you enter the village you have a beautiful panoramic view of the mountain village of Kipseli on the other side of the valley and of the eastern coast of the island.

Staying on the quiet main street you come to a surprisingly old building. Here you have the Kafepantopolion so typical for Zakynthonian villages. Men are sitting together deep in discussion, gambling or staring in silence.
